Stop number four of the Crappie Masters National Qualifier was at stunning Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, OK. We are so blessed to be brought back to this amazing fishery by Vision Eufaula and the City of Eufaula. This fishery is truly one of a kind and our anglers love getting to experience catching so many incredible fish.
Anglers were blessed on day one with the sun shining bright and little to no wind. The perfect combination to get a great bag of fish. The citizens of Eufaula showed out at Xtreme Amphitheater to see the great fish brought across the Crappie Masters stage. Dan Langston and Colby Barnett took the lead on day number one with a weight of 12.71 lbs, making their lead over second place be 1.12 lbs. Not only were they leading the tournament but also tied for big fish with Jamie Jones and Jared Jones for 2.94 lbs.
Oklahoma natives Les and Jamie Standstipher came up in second on day one with a weight of 11.59 lbs.
Finishing out the top 5 was Jamie and Jared Jones with a weight of 11.02 and tied for big fish of 2.94 lbs. Following close behind was team Jordan Sanders and Jason Holleman with 10.97 lbs and Travis Decker and Michael Culberson with 10.91 lbs.
Excitement was brewing coming into Championship Saturday. With there being so many great sized fish all over the 102,000 acres of fishable area anything is possible. But team Dan Langston and Colby Barnett were able to hold onto the number one spot with a day two bag of 11.81 lbs, making their total weight 24.52 lbs. This outstanding performance allowed them to be named Crappie Masters 2024 Lake Eufaula Champions. Their bag was over two pounds more than the rest of the field and made them $7,500.00.
Team Travis Decker and Michael Culbertson were able to jump from fifth place up to second place with a total weight of 21.99 lbs. This jump allowed them to take home a check worth $3,500.00.
Finishing out the top three was team Joey Cook and Mike Humphreys with a total weight of 21.40 lbs and earning them $2,500.00
Frank Haidusek wowed the crowd by bringing in a 3.05lb crappie earning him the honors of winning the big fish of the tournament.
