Beautiful Lake Erling in Magnolia, Arkansas was host for the third ever Crappie Masters bracket showdown. Their great hospitality was filled with great lodging, some of the best restaurants around for all of our anglers to enjoy. A big thank you to Ms. Rachel Jenkins and the Magnolia A & P Commission for bringing us back for this special event.
As explained in our previous article we had 16 teams qualify for championship Saturday. Go take a look at their journey’s of how they got to the final day and their matchups the past few days. These 16 teams had their weights zeroed out and had to find their 5 biggest crappie to win the bracket showdown!

Day 3 of the tournament was much harder for anglers out on the water. On the first and second day of the tournament there were 9 bags that weighed over 10 pounds and joined the double digit club. There was only one team that was able to pull off the double digits on day 3 was Jared Fyock with a bag weighing in at 11.03lbs. This was the biggest bag of the tournament and earned Jared a check worth $7,500.00 and the title of 2024 Crappie Master Bracket Showdown Champion!Â
Crappie pro and veteran Tony Hughes was able to grab a great bag on championship Saturday. He sat in the Millennium Marine hot seats for quite a while due to his bag weighing in at 9.74lbs earning him a check worth $3,500.00.
Rookie team Zack Minnix and Bill Hunt were able to snag the third place spot with their day 3 bag weighing in at 9.64lbs. This great weight earned them their first ever Crappie Masters trophy and a check worth $2,500.00
Team Mike Vallentine and Matt Beckman claimed the fourth place spot of the tournament, only missing out of third by 2 hundredths of an ounce.They brought in a bag weighing in at 9.62lbs and got to claim their check worth $1,500.00
Gage Reep and Rick Reep were able to hang onto the fifth place spot by weighing in a 2.34lbs big fish to break the tie of their weight of 9.45lbs. They were able to claim their check worth $1,000.00.
