Crappie Masters History at Grenada Lake
The Crappie Masters National Tournament Trail held two events at Grenada Lake last season: a National Qualifier in March and then the National Championship in September.
In the March National Qualifier, we saw records shattered, as 42.84 pounds of fish were weighed in by Matthew and Bruce Rogers to take the hardware home. The biggest fish weighed in at the tournament was a 4.26-pound fish of a lifetime by Brett and Robert Luther.
In the National Championship event of 2022, the team of Hayden and Dan Jeffries claimed the title of 2022 Crappie Masters National Champions along with a $30,000 prize. They weighed in 33.75 pounds of crappie, with the Big Fish honors going to Lamar Bunting and his 3.10-pound slab he brought in.
In the 2021 National Qualifier at Grenada, it was Zeke Anderson and Dillon Hackler that got the win with 42.84 pounds of crappie weighed in. In that tournament, it was once again Lamar Bunting and his teammate Greg London who weighed in the biggest fish (a 3.78-pound bruiser).
